PROBLEM:
One of America's largest private banks faced numerous challenges with bank mergers and technological advancements and requirements. Not only did they need to expand assets, improve productivity, and maintain healthy relationships with their customers, they needed to efficiently meet compliance issues. RR Donnelley BCS, their provider of Account Statements since 1999, continues to provide process improvements and documented savings.

SOLUTION:
Our dedicated financial team delivered focused, innovative business communication solutions... solutions that were designed to ensure that this bank's communications provided a profitable customer contact. Working with this client we:

  • Designed and produced new statements including the trust and wealth transfer, investments management, and custody account types. BCS bridged the gap and managed the continuity of client communications between legacy organizations and the newly branded customer. Providing statement production from multiple processing platforms/multiple data streams, we managed the rollout of new statements while minimizing client disruption.
  • Developed e-presentment of a new statement including the exact rendition of the printed statement. Associates can see what clients see. This was delivered to the desktop leveraging the existing infrastructure (private bank Intranet).
  • Successfully managed the integration of Fleet portfolio volume onto the legacy trust statement platform, partnering with the Bank to execute the largest trust system conversion in U.S. history.
The application of PACE account statements are accomplished through two incoming data streams (print image and flat) from PACE, utilizing three nationwide BCS production facilities daily. The program consists of five statement types (average statement at 13 duplex pages) for 2.3 million mail packages/30 million pages annually.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT:
Early in production, process improvements produced documented savings of over $539,000. Enhanced messaging and inserting abilities often eliminate the need for additional marketing mailings, drastically reducing postal and print production costs. Further process improvements resulted in an additional documented savings of $550,000. BCS' solutions in digital print, transactional mail, and e-delivery results in reduced total costs of communications along with increased customer satisfaction.
